The Feng Shui of Fresh Flowers
What is Good Feng Shui?
“Feng Shui” is a Chinese term from an Ancient poem and is more than just a phrase: it’s a lifestyle! The practice of feng shui is to live in harmony with the natural world, even in our indoor environments. “Feng” means “wind,” while “Shui” translates to “water” in the Chinese language. In order to have good feng shui in your home or office, it’s important to incorporate the five elements (wood, fire, earth, water, and metal). It’s a no-brainer that beautiful living things should be incorporated into a home or office in order to have good feng shui. This allows for a healthy balance of influences from the natural world.

- Depending on the color of an orchid, they can be very helpful in one’s home as they can promote passion, fertility, and joy. Consult the feng shui color wheel for information on colors and their meanings. For example, blues are associated with the water element while bright, ostentatious colors correspond with fire.
- Peonies are incredibly sensual and are ideal for the home.
